This stool draws its inspiration from the raw beauty of firewood—simple, honest, and deeply connected to nature. Its form evokes freshly split logs, with irregular legs and a thick circular seat that retain the organic character of wood in its most natural state.

Crafted using the traditional Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban, the surface has been carefully charred by fire, revealing a rich texture and deep black-brown tones. The burning process not only enhances the wood's durability but also highlights its grain, creating a unique interplay of light and shadow across the surface.

The stool balances rustic expression with refined craftsmanship. Its sculptural silhouette celebrates imperfection, allowing knots, textures, and subtle variations to become part of its identity. Each piece is unique, carrying the marks of both the tree it came from and the transformative power of fire.

More than a functional object, the stool is a tribute to the relationship between wood, fire, and time—a contemporary interpretation of ancient Japanese woodworking traditions, grounded in the timeless simplicity of the forest.
